You have the option to apply the selected negative match keywords to any of the 5 options:

  • Ad Group (default/recommended, applies a negative match keyword to the sponsored product ad group it was found within)

  • Campaign (applies a negative match keyword to the sponsored product campaign of the ad group it was found within, affecting all other ad groups in that same campaign)

  • Selected Ad Group (had you already custom-filtered the search term results to a selected set of sponsored product ad groups prior to submitting this search term filter, this would apply the negative keyword to this whole list of selected ad groups)

  • Selected Campaign (had you already custom-filtered the search term results to a selected set of sponsored product campaigns prior to submitting this search term filter, this would apply the negative keyword to this whole list of selected campaigns which affects all ad groups within the selected campaigns)

  • All Campaigns (applies a negative match keyword to all sponsored product campaigns in Seller Central, affecting all ad groups in all campaigns)
